I was just a soldier,
my duties I did well;
don't point your finger to condemn me I've already been to hell.
I have soared above the mountains
and sailed across the seas;
I have walked with death
as they made a warrior out of me. . .
'A Warriors Mind'
He was seasoned well
in the fires of hell,
but was it evening,
night or morn
when light in his eyes
and a warriors glare was born. . .
I venture down lifes highway
through the corridors of time
with the lessons life has taught me
etched deep within my mind.
The lessons I was given,
scars and wrinkles I have earned
from the paths I chose to walk
and the bridges I have burned . . .
As I lay in silent sleep
into my mind did a vision creep,
and there I saw a snow white veil
draped across the gates of hell.
Hid from my sight was that within,
but I turn to see a watchman then . . .
