The Captains eyes stare straight ahead
as he stands fast at the helm
of ghostly ship with a ghostly crew . . .
and I am one of them.
My parched lips thirst for drink
of water rum or wine
as my eyes search for dry land
across the oceans salty brine.
But dry land I will never walk,
a shore line I'll never see;
doomed to sail the waters blue
through eternity are we.
