God has allowed me to experience life from both sides, the good and the bad; He has given me the talent to write about those experiences. He also gave me the opportunity to serve in the military with some courageous men, I’ve had the privilege of meeting a lot of veterans from WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, they have all inspired some of the stories and poems in ‘A Gun and the Cross.’
As I look back over my life with all the ups and downs, the good and bad
memories I have to give thanks to God, He has prepared the way and He will continue to do so. I hope ‘A Gun
and the Cross’ will give some insight into the hearts and minds of our veterans, those who wear the scars, physical and mental; they have earned our respect. God bless them and their families.
