As many before me and many after I served my country, I performed my duties to the best of my abilities; now I live a quiet simple life with my family.
I have always had a passion for poetry and God has given me a talent to write. My stories in rhyme has a variety of themes, but primarily they deal with our nations veterans, more so the discarded ones. Those who have a hard time dealing with the after math of war . . . the misfits, the unwanted. I feel this is where God wants my talents used the most, to get their stories out there because I know from experience that for so many of them it is hard, almost impossible to talk about it.
We loose to many men and women on the battle fields, but we loose a way to many more right here in the country they fought and sacrificed for . . . and that saddens me terribly.
The crowds will gather, they will spend their hard earned money to watch ball players, movie stars, musicians; but they snub their nose to the veteran who wears the scars
